With much expectation Ajith’s Asal movie got released yesterday. After seeing this movie we would got full satisfaction after a long time we had good Tamil movie with Hollywood effects.
Asal Ajith plays a dual role with one character dealing with international smuggling and the second role as a son. A new brand image will be given to this Boss who always break the box office through his movie collections. Aasal (Original) is directed by old hand Saran.
Ajith’s 49th film, Aasal has several unique facts to its credit.
- Firstly, Ajith has given up his title of the “Ultimate Star”.
- Another interesting fact is that the actor has been credited with the screenplay (along with with Saran and Yugi Sethu) and direction.
- Movie was Picturized largely in France and other exotic locales.
- Prashant D’Misale’s camera zips across the landscape in a breath-taking fashion.
- You can actually feel your ears turning pink with the cold captured through Prabhakar’s sleek art-work.
- Anthony’s editing is smooth while composer Bharadwaj has gone to town with Vairamuthu’s lyrics.
- Yuhi Sethu, who is known as a taut screenplay writer, has ensured that the script has no loose ends and there is no logical lapse.
Story-wise the Billa hangover continues. It’s as though every succeeding director tries to arrange his cast, crew and the script to suit the specifications of the blockbuster.
Though influence of Hollywood movies like Payback could not be avoided especially in the second half, one can forget the fact since Asal is a rich attempt that is bright and beautiful.
My verdict of this Asal movie
Ajith, Saran and Bharadwaj have the struck the right harmony again: This film main success will be shared by everyone. Billa showed ajith with oozing all stylish. Asal has showcases Ajith on roles with style and stuff.

Pictures flick PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME. Jake Gyllenhaal is shooting the flick with director Mike Newell at the helm over in Morocco.New Bond girl Gemma Arterton also stars. People familiar with the popular video game may recall that Prince Dastan teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from using a sandstorm to destroy the world.
This Year, Most of the Kollywood actors went to work in Bollywood, First Asin, madhavan then Trisha became busy in Bollywood. And now, we hear that Madhavan, who has already appeared in several Hindi films (13B), now has more films in Hindi than in Tamil. But he has not completely shifted to Bollywood. Madhavan, as we all know, is looking for exciting scripts in Tamil and is even open to films in other languages.
At present he has been making a mark in Hindi. After the success of 13B, he is now busy with Teen Patti with Amitabh Bachchan, Chassini with Jaya Bachchan, 3 Idiots with Aamir Khan and will also be seen in Tanu weds Manu.
Sikandar, his next film, is releasing this month and Madhavan is reportedly discussing a sequel to 13B in Hindi and Tamil with Vikram Kumar as director. I am a huge fan of Madhavan. I like to see his film in Tamil more… I wish him all the best for his project…
Aadhavan is directed by renowned K.S. Ravikumar.

Aadhavan is a story of a huge joint family. A rich woman (Saroja Devi) has four sons and her oldest son has a daughter, played by Nayantara.
Vadivelu plays her cook. Murali (Malayalam actor) and Rahul Dev, plays the villain role. Also in the cast are Pepsi Vijayan, Ramesh Khanna, Sayaji Shinde, Anand Babu and Manobala.
Suriya plays a servant who wants to take revenge on the household but ends up in becoming the owner.
The film is co-produced by M. Senbagamurthy and R. Arjun Dorai.

This is the first time a super hero story has been made in Tamil cinema. Kandasamy which has Vikram and Shreya in the lead is being produced by Kalaipuli Dhanu and directed by Susi Ganesan. Ekambaram has handled the camera.
The delay is Mainly due to graphic works, which has lot of graphic work involved in this film. Abirami Ramanathan has taken the City Rights for Rs. 4.5Crores, the same price at which he had floated Sivaji – The Boss.
The final and steady statements will be made by Director Susi Ganeshan and Producer Dhanu earlier this month.
As per the trade reports, it has been revealed that by all means of 99%, the film Kandasamy will get released by end of this month. Producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu has been postponing the film’s release as he’s keen on finding the right time and more number of theatres.
