Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) T20 is set to start on June 4. The CCL T20 will be played between the popular film industries of India. Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and Sandalwood.

Event kick-started with a curtain raiser match played between South Superstars and Mumbai Heroes at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vizag. The official tournament will take-off on June 4 between Surya’s Chennai Rhinos v/s Venkatesh’s Telugu Warriors at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

India will play the inaugural match of the World Cup against Bangladesh in Mirpur on February 19.

Indian Squad :

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt/wk), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, R Ashwin, Ashish Nehra.

Leg spinner Piyush Chawla was the surprise inclusion while young batsman Rohit Sharma and speedster S Sreesanth were not included. spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who is also a useful batsman, was also named in the squad.

Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and pacer Praveen Kumar though had injuries has made into the squad.

Indian Team to be captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag as his deputy. The main reason behind picking up three specialist spinners were the turning wickets in India. The spinners probably play a very major role on the turning wickets

The squad has six batsmen, four pacers, three spinners, one all rounder in Yusuf Pathan and a wicket keeper in captain Dhoni.

Last time World Cup was hosted in Asia in 1996 and Sri Lanka merge winners of the ICC Wills World Cup. Unfortunately, this time Pakistan will not host any games of 2011 world cup because of security concern. ICC has tried their best to shorten the 2011 world cup. India will host 29 matches, Sri Lanka will host 12 matches and 8 games will be hosted by Bangladesh.

Fourteen teams will participate in 2011 World Cup with 14 teams divided into two groups each containing seven teams.Group A contains Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka,Zimbabwe, Kenya and Canada while Group B includes India, South Africa, England, West Indies,Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands.

India will host one quarter final in Ahmedabad, one semi final in Mohali and Final of World Cup 2011 in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. While Sri Lanka will host the 2ndst semi final in R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo and Bangladesh will host 1stand 3rd quarterfinal in Mirpur, Dhaka.

INDIAN Squad For T20 WC: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar, Ashish Nehra, Vinay Kumar, Dinesh Karthik, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla.

The chief selector Krish Srikkanth told reporters that We have a very strong batting line-up and I am sure the team will do well. India are grouped with South Africa and Afghanistan in the league phase of the T20 WC. Left-handed batsman Yuvraj Singh will mark his return to the national side after a wrist injury earlier this year. Opening batsman Gautam Gambhir and left-arm paceman Ashish Nehra were included in the squad by India’s selectors despite injury doubts. The notable omissions in the line-up are batsman Virat Kohli and fast bowler Ishant Sharma.

The 26-year-old Vinay is one of four pacemen in the bowling attack for the April 30-May 16 tournament spearheaded by Zaheer Khan. India named uncapped paceman Vinay Kumar in a 15-man squad for the third edition of the World Twenty20 championship in the West Indies.

dhoni injury Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Face Heavy Challenge Due to Captain MS Dhoni injury Chennai Super Kings (CSK) official Russel Radhakrishnan dismissed that Dhoni will be out of action for 10 days, He is hopeful of playing against Royal challengers on Tuesday. The team is very reliant on him. He is the skipper; he keeps wickets and is a great batsman too. It’s a hard blow for us.

Captain MS Dhoni is injured after being hit in the forearm by a Shane Bond delivery during match-winning innings against KKR. Dhoni left to his home town Ranchi and will rejoin the team on Sunday. If he is found fit on Sunday, he could well play against Royal Challengers in Bangalore on Tuesday.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) management has announced that Suresh Raina will lead the side and Parthiv Patel will keep wickets until Dhoni returns.
